My Story

Hi, I’m Lynn and I can’t wait to share
my love of yoga
with you.

I am a 300 hour British Wheel of Yoga Teacher and have been practicing yoga for the past 10 years. I loved yoga from my very first class, the combination of movement and relaxation, (and no instructor at the front shouting instructions at me) was exactly what I was looking for. Initially, I tried out lots of different types of classes to find the right style for me, this turned out to be Hatha Yoga. This is a fairly slow style of yoga, encouraging a body and breath connection.

My Training

After attending classes for a few years, I decided to join a one year British Wheel of Yoga Foundation course to deepen my own practice and knowledge of the philosophy of yoga,  I knew then that I wanted to teach and share this wonderful practice with others.

I went on to complete yoga teaching training with the British Wheel of Yoga, and am fully insured with them. I also take part in regular ongoing Continuous Professional Development days to ensure my training is fully up to date, including a First Aid certificate.

Create a little calm.

I have also completed 50 hours of Yoga Nidra Training (see Yoga Terms) with the Satyananda Yoga Centre. Their training is in line with the traditional Bihar School of Yoga in India. Therefore, I offer a monthly Rest & Restore class. Yoga Nidra is an amazingly powerful relaxation practice which I offer alongside a gentle floor based yoga practice.

Connecting the body and breath is vital for our wellbeing.

For me, yoga has always been about drawing attention away from our busy minds and making a connection to the body.  This connection is made through gentle yoga movements, moving with the breath and pranayama (breathing techniques). You can learn more about the benefits of Yoga here.
